We have an update on Morgan Graham.  She is still at Brenners.   Her surgery went well.  Please pray specifically for pain management and pray for no infection.

Pray for Joye Beckner upon the death of  her sister, Lynn Foltz.  She passed away this afternoon.

Please be in prayer for Kelly Mullis, Yvonne Beck's granddaughter.  She had surgery today for a blockage in her small intestine. 

Ethel Goins had surgery today to remove a kidney.  The surgery went well.  Please continue to pray for Ethel as she recovers.

Please be in prayer for Mary Carson  (Roberta Plumley's mother).  She was admitted to the hospital with low blood pressure and a high heart rate.

Thank you for praying for Cheryl Thompson.  She is home from the hospital but continue to pray as she will be having an endoscopy tomorrow afternoon.

Pray for the family of Mona Cox upon  the death of her brother, Woodrow Fowler.  He passed away early this morning.

Pray for Lynn Foltz (sister to Joye Beckner).  She has had pulminary fibrosis and now has pneumonia.  She has been hospitalized.  Please pray for the doctors as they treat her and pray for her husband who also has several health issues.

Please be in prayer for Joye Sink.  This is Wayne Sink's sister-in-law.  She is in ICU in critical condition and needs a touch from God.

Also be in prayer for Jim & Lorelei Druhl's neighbor.  She has stage 4 colon cancer and is bleeding.  She has been admitted to the hospital.  Please pray for God's touch and for her salvation.

Please be in prayer for Cheryl Thompson.  She in the emergency room.  She is awaiting results of a CT scan.  Please pray doctor's will be able to determine what's going on with her and treat her accordingly.

Please pray for Barbara Deck’s 22 year old grandson who is in critical condition in ICU in the hospital.

Please be in prayer for Alison Collins as she is having surgery this morning.  Pray the surgery goes well and for a good recovery.  Also be in prayer for Emily Collins.  She has the flu and a bilateral ear infection. Please pray for healing.

Please be in prayer for Wally & Diane Decker's daughter-in-law, Whitney.  She just came out of surgery from a ruptured ovarian cyst.  They are praising the Lord that the surgery was able to be done laparoscopicly.  Please pray for a full recovery and complete healing.

Also be in prayer for a neighbor of Jim & Lorelei's who has stage 4 colon cancer.  It has metastasized to the liver.  She also has Lupus and other health issues.

Please be in prayer for Mary Coultas (Judith Nifong's mother).  Mary was taken off life support this morning.    Judith was on vacation with her family and will be leaving Nagshead today for Mississipi  to be with her mom and her sisters.  Please pray for Mary and the entire family during this difficult time.  

Please be in prayer for Daphne Morrison.  She is experiencing pain on her left side.  She has a Doctor's appt. next Wed., Dec. 2nd.  Please pray for pain relief.

Starr Lawson is doing well continue to pray for continued strength and healing.

Please be in prayer for Starr Lawson.  She fell and broke her hip last night.  She is scheduled for surgery this afternoon at 1;30 p.m.

Pray for Ethel Goins.  She has a wound that must heal completely before she can have kidney surgery on Dec. 18th.  She will be having her left kidney removed. 

Starr Lawson's hip surgery has been postponed until 3:30 this afternoon.  Please pray for this surgery to go well.

Update on Riley Huneycutt-she has had a good day.  She is off oxygen.  Numbers for her pancreas have gotten lower which is good news.  Please continue to pray that Riley's condtion will improve.

Please continue to pray for Riley Huneycutt, Billy & Kelley Huneycutt's granddaughter.  She still has pancreatitis.  She also has fluid on her lungs, however she is still alert.  Billy & Kelley went by and visited with her today and she was smiling and talking but is still a pretty sick little girl.  They put a pick line in today to give her nutrients because she can't eat anything due to the pancreatitis.  She has already lost 5 lbs and they are striving to keep her strong. 

Also be in prayer for April Cooke's friend, Holly.  She is having an outpatient procedure on her heart tomorrow.  Please pray this goes well and for God's touch upon her body.

Please be in prayer for Robert Jeffreys.  He has a tumor on his ankle.  He is scheduled for radiation tomorrow and will have a Cryo ablation on a tumor in his chest Monday, October 19th.   

Libby Faust will have outpatient orthroscopic surgery on her left shoulder and an injection in her right shoulder.

PRAISE!  Will Hill's mother did not have a brain bleed.  Pain was actually coming from arthritis in her neck.

PRAISE!  Dot Jones's son, Ronald Tesh, is coming home from the hospital after having Pneumonia.

Pray for Sandy Staiger's mother, Marilyn Farrow.  She had a light stroke 3 weeks ago.  Pray her physical therapy will be effective.

Please be in prayer for the family of Farrell Clodfelter, Leland Clodfelter's brother.  He went to be with the Lord Monday, August 24th.  The arrangements are as follows:  Visitation with the family will be tonight Tuesday, August 25th 6-8 p.m. at J.C. Green Funeral Home on Hwy 109.   The service will be tomorrow, Wed. Aug. 26th at 2 p.m. at Canaan UMC.

Susan Sides came through her hip surgery yesterday.  Everything went well.  Continue to pray for Susan as she recovers.  

Pray for the family of Rodney Garner.  This is a cousin of Keryl Edwards.  He took his own life last night.    

Pray for Rylie Huneycutt, Billy & Kelley Huneycutt's granddaughter.  She has a temperature.  She has been taken to the hospital.  This could be Pneumonia or the flu. Doctors do not believe this is related to her recent surgery.  Please pray for doctor's wisdom as they treat her and for a complete recovery.

Pray for the nephew of Dan & Bonnie Wishnietsky, John Harper.  He is a father of 3 children, recently had a seizure (has a tumor) and is scheduled for a CT scan.  Pray for doctors to have wisdom as they treat him and for the results of the CT scan.

Erin Nifong had her salivary gland below her ear removed.  She is doing well and hopes to be discharged from the hospital later today.  Pray as she recovers.

Pray for Brett Malloy who had his appendix removed and intestinal surgery. 12-14 inches of his intestines were removed.  Pray that Brett's intestines will soon begin to work properly and for a complete and successful recovery from this surgery.

Pray for Hannah Baugham-(Steve Wagner's  great niece)-She is having a tumor on her ovary removed.  Pray that the ovary will not have to be removed.

Pray for Sherry Garland-(Steve Wagner's sister's sister-in-law)-She had a heart attack.  Pray for a good recovery.

Donna also requested prayer for the Courage for Kaleb Fundraiser tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th (11am-6:00pm) at Wallburg Fire Department.  Kaleb has Hunter's Syndrome.  This fundraiser will help with his medical expenses.

Pray for Sybil Laughter (pronounced Lawter).  This is the mother of Sandra Hill.  She has Alzheimer's Disease and has recently shown a big decline.  Also pray for Sandra and her brother as they help care for her.

Lou May came through her open heart surgery with a two way by-pass.  Continue to pray as she recovers from this.

Johnny Faust had his outpatient shoulder surgery and is now at home.  Pray as he recovers.

05-27-15 Prayer Requests

Please be in prayer for 5 year old Maddie Hobbs, She is the little girl who was in need of surgery quickly due to a diagnosis of malignant melanoma.  She had the surgery and a malignant tumor was removed from her stomach.  She also had lymph nodes removed from her stomach.  It will be next week before they get results of the biopsy.  Please pray this will come back negative.

Please be in prayer for Bob Carson.  This is the brother of Roberta Plumley.  He was having severe pain this morning.  He went to Baptist Hospital and is having his appendix removed.  Doctors will perform exploratory surgery to find out what else may be going on.

Pray for the Pruitt and Moore families as the decision has been made to remove a 63 year old cousin of Sandra Hill from life support.  

Pray for Ralph Maiden (friend of Frank & Carol Thomas)-he has congestive heart failure and Pneumonia.

Bob Carson had appendix surgery and is being kept overnight for observation.

05-26-2015 Prayer Requests

PRAISE--Terry Jones (Teresa Johnson's father) who was recently diagnosed with two types of cancer came through surgery today.  He had a kidney removed and doctors discovered the two cancers he has are not connected.  This is good news.  Please continue to pray for Mr. Jones and for the next step in this process.

Todd McDaniel (David Boles' Son)-who was injured in a head on collision last week is now in rehab.  When the doctor went in to perform surgery, he found it wasn't necessary.  Please continue to pray as he recovers.

Please be in prayer for Lou May.  She was admitted to FMC with Afib.  Doctors will be running further tests.

UPDATE on Todd McDaniel and his daughter (Diana Boles' son and granddaughter).  They were involved in a head-on collision.  The driver of the other car apparently fell asleep at the wheel.  Todd is at Baptist Hospital.  He has a cracked vertebrae, fractured hips and he may have a broken leg.  His daughter seems to be O.K. She has a sore wrist.  He may face surgery soon.  Please pray as he recovers.

Please be in prayer for Jimmie Nickel.  This is the mother of an employee of Frank & Carol Thomas.  She is dealing with memory loss as a result of a urinary tract infection.  She is now on an antibiotic.  Please pray that the infection will soon clear up and her memory would be restored.

Debra Johnson would like to thank the church for their prayers for her sister, Phyllis Wooten.  Phyllis had a broken hip, had a partial hip replacement and then had complications eating.  A biopsy has revealed no cancer.  Please continue to pray for healing.

We want to share a praise with you.  Thank you for your prayers for Clinton & Patricia Beck's daughter, Sara.  She was having a hard time swallowing and is now doing much better.  We praise the Lord for this good news.

Please be in prayer for 31 year old Sara Webb (co worker of Brandy Larking).  She has cervical cancer, had surgery and now doctors have found a tumor.  She is going to be having radiation and chemo.  Has had a lot of complications.  Pray she would sense the Lord's presence.

Sandy Staiger has requested prayer for the family of Tyler Gregory.  Tyler was a 26 year old friend of her son Ryan.  Tyler lived in Ohio and committed suicide a few days ago.  Please specifically pray for the assurance of this young man's salvation as a family member has stated they he had accepted Christ earlier in his life.  His funeral is Friday.

We also want to report that Evon Lambeth had his CAT scan and it came back clear.
